David graduated from Camberwell School of Art in 1986 before
going to work for the National Gallery as a member of their in-house
publicity and exhibition design team. In 1989 he travelled to
Italy to continue his studies at a painting academy in Florence.
He then spent two years working primarily as a portrait painter
before moving to Spain to concentrate on 'plein air' landscape
painting.
He eventually settled in Seville where he studied masters courses
at the Universdidad de Bellas Artes and with Antonio Lopez Garcia,
one of Spain's leading realist painters.
In the summer of 2008 he returned to London and is currently
working on a series of paintings of the River Thames from source
to estuary. |
