b. London 1964

David graduated from Camberwell School of Art in 1986 before going to work for the National Gallery as a member of their in-house publicity and exhibition design team. In 1989 he travelled to Italy to continue his studies at a painting academy in Florence. He then spent two years working primarily as a portrait painter before moving to Spain to concentrate on 'plein air' landscape painting.

He eventually settled in Seville where he studied masters courses at the Universdidad de Bellas Artes and with Antonio Lopez Garcia, one of Spain's leading realist painters.

In the summer of 2008 he returned to London and is currently working on a series of paintings of the River Thames from source to estuary.
